Through Cause Capitalism, The Goat Foundation works in Africa, with the aim to work in solidarity with the active poor and excluded widows in society and participate in their struggle to eradicate poverty, hunger and injustice.

The Goat Foundation achieves its mission by giving hope to this widow by giving goats. Each widow through a careful selection criterion would receive a seed donation of two goats: Nanny and Billy Goat, with the aim of enabling them to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves.

The seed donation is followed by a robust capacity building and education programme that is geared to enable the widows create sustainability from the two goats they have received and benefits from milk production, manure sales, reproduction and a herd at the end of 1 to 2 years of farming them.

SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES

These goats and resources are purchased directly from the local farmers and community livestock owners, in a move to create an impact in the lives of the people within that community by increasing cashflow and supporting local farmers also create wealth.
